Legal Career
I worked my way up from articled
clerk to partner in the law firm environment before choosing to work for
myself. Since 1999, I have practiced solely in
criminal law.
I have experience defending
criminal charges at all levels of Western Australian courts, from the most
serious crimes to the more routine (including traffic
matters). I practice as both a barrister and a
solicitor, which means I do the paperwork and the court work for my
clients.
I am genuinely passionate about
helping people in difficult situations. I appreciate
the seriousness of my work and I am thorough in preparation and
detail.
Related Activities
I am a part-time legal officer in
the Australian Army. I have tutored in criminal law at
various universities. I have also undertaken courses in forensic science
as well as negotiation and mediation.
I am a member of the Criminal
Lawyers’ Association of Western Australia, having previously served on its
Committee.
